BMW CE04 Electric Scooter
The CE04 marks BMW Motorrad’s entry into the electric two-wheeler segment in India. This electric scooter features an 8.5 kWh battery pack, delivering a range of up to 130 km on a single charge. Its liquid-cooled electric motor generates 42 hp, enabling the scooter to accelerate from 0 to 50 kmph in just 2.6 seconds. The CE04 boasts a top speed governed at 120 kmph, making it one of the fastest electric scooters available in the country.
Suspension duties are carried out by a telescopic fork at the front and a monoshock unit at the rear. As for the features, it gets a 10.25-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, three riding modes, traction control, and ABS. The BMW CE04 is priced at Rs 14.9 lakh ex-showroom.
Mini Cooper S, Mini all-electric Countryman
For the Mini brand, the group has launched the updated Mini Cooper S and the all new electric Countryman. It houses a 66.45 kWh battery pack that comes with a WLTP range of 462 km on a single charge. Using a DC charger, the battery pack can be charged from 0-80 percent in just under half an hour. The Countryman puts out an impressive 204 hp and 250 Nm of peak torque.
The updated Mini Cooper S employs a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol mill, now producing 204 hp and 300 Nm of torque, up by 25 hp and 20 Nm. The Cooper S accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in just 6.6 seconds, making it marginally quicker than the previous model. As for transmission, it gets a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
The all-electric Countryman has been priced at Rs 54.90 lakh, ex-showroom. On the other hand, the updated Mini Cooper S has been priced from Rs 44.90 lakh, ex-showroom.

And lastly, the company launched the 8th Gen BMW Series 5 LWB at Rs 72.9 lakh, ex-showroom, making India the first right-hand-drive market for the model. The deliveries for this model are slated to begin from September 2024. It is the biggest car in its segment measuring 5,165 mm in length, 1,158 mm height with a long wheelbase of 3,105 mm. The sedan features a striking design with an illuminated kidney grille, sleek headlights, and angular bumpers. It is available with 18-inch and 19-inch wheel options, a sloping roofline, and a sporty rear end.
Inside, the BMW 5 Series greets you with a 14.9-inch infotainment system supporting Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 12.3-inch driver’s display, 100 percent vegan leather upholstery, four-zone climate control, ambient lighting, and more.
The sole variant available in India, the 530Li M Sport, is powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, twin-turbo petrol engine coupled with a 48V mild-hybrid system. This setup produces 258 hp and 400 Nm of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. This car can achieve 100 kmph from a standstill in just 6.5 seconds.
