The two heavyweights – Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki and Prabhas’Salaar, emerged with the highest New Year’s day collections with a total collection of Rs 30 crores. According to Sacnilk.com, early estimates of ‘Salaar Cease Fire – Part 1′ state that the film earned around Rs 15.50 Crore on its eleventh day.’Dunki’, on the other hand, earned around Rs 9.25 Crore net on its twelfth day for all languages.

According to the report, the audience’s relentless enthusiasm and positive word-of-mouth have propelled these movies to unprecedented heights, solidifying their positions at the box office.

Another Hindi film that managed to sail through was Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Animal’ which managed to sustain its momentum, consistently staying above the Rs 1 crore mark.

Meanwhile, the Vicky Kaushal-led biopic ‘Sam Bahadur’ continued to stand strong, maintaining its grip on the box office. The film’s patriotic fervour and compelling narrative have garnered widespread acclaim, ensuring a steady flow of moviegoers.

Besides the Hindi markets, regional cinema also took centre stage with films like Neru, Kaatera, and HiNanna proving their mettle and captivating the audiences and adding their share to the overall triumph at the box office.
