As Yaras are locked and loaded for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. Brazil’s 12 women roster and 2 replacements travel to France on Saturday to continue preparations for the Olympics. As Yaras are one of three participants from the Americas; Brazil join Canada and the USA in chasing medals.

Head Coach Will Broderick selected the roster. His roster sees some players cut as the original number was 18. Among the missing is Rafaela Zanellato who was unable to overcome injury in time. The roster is the same as that which has been training together over an extended period. It is reduced in size but there are no new names.
Iconic Brazilian player, Raquel Kochhann is back and roaring to go. Kochhann overcame cancer. Captain Luiza Campos is back for As Yaras for the biggest event in the sport. Having competed at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro and 2021 Tokyo Olympics, Campos will now compete at Paris 2024, doing so alongside Kochhann.
Marina Fioravanti, Mariana Nicolau, Milena Mariano, Bianca Silva, and win sisters Thalita Costa and Thalia Costa are all to compete in their second Olympic Games for Brazil. The Olympian debutants are Marcelle Souza, Yasmim Soares, Gabriela Lima and Gisele Gomes.
Brazil’s two women named as traveling replacements are Leila Silva and Aline Furtado. Both Silva and Furtado competed at the Tokyo Olympics.
