BYD India launched two new affordable variants of the BYD Atto 3 electric SUV. The two new variants are – Dynamic priced at Rs 24.99 lakh and Premium priced at 29.85 lakh (both prices ex-showroom). The Atto 3 was previously offered only with a single Superior variant which is priced at Rs 33.99 lakh (ex-showroom). This means the new base-spec variant is Rs 9 lakh less expensive than the top-end Superior trim.

As mentioned before, the Dynamic trim is the entry-level variant and gets features such as 12.8-inch rotating touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, six speakers, 5.0-inch digital instrument cluster, 17-inch alloy wheels, panoramic sunroof, roof rails, steering mounted controls, powered front seats – 6 – way for driver and 4 – way for passenger, 360-degree camera, electric parking brake, automatic climate control, wireless phone charger with Type-C ports, keyless entry, automatic air-con, LED headlights with DRLs, TPMS, ESC, ABS, TCS, 9 airbags and 70kW DC fast charging capability.

The Premium is the mid-spec variant in the BYD Atto 3. It gets all the features mentioned above, additionally, this variant gets larger 18-inch alloy wheels, eight speakers, ambient lighting, one touch electric tailgate and 80kW fast charging capability.

Superior – 33.99 lakh (ex-showroom)
Next comes in top-of-the-line Superior trim, this variant gets all the features mentioned above. Additionally, it gets adaptive LED headlights and ADAS features such as Automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, front and rear collision warning, blind spot detection, door open warning, lane departure warning and keeping assist, rear cross-traffic alert and braking and more.
Talking about the battery and electric motor, the new base-spec variant gets a smaller 49.92 kWh battery pack paired with an electric motor which puts out 204 PS of power and 310 nm of torque. It has a claimed range of 468 km and the battery can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in 50 mins using a DC fast charger. Using an AC charger, the battery takes 8 hours to fully charge.
Talking about the mid-spec Premium and Superior variants, both are powered by a 60.48 kWh battery pack paired with a single electric motor which puts out 204 PS of power and 310 nm of torque. It has a claimed range of 521 km and the battery can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in 50 mins using a DC fast charger. Using an AC charger, the bigger battery takes 8 hours to fully charge.
