The Seal in India will be offered in three variants – Dynamic, Premium and Performance. The Dynamic is the entry-level version with an RWD setup and is priced at Rs 41 lakh, the Premium variant with RWD setup is priced at Rs 45.55 lakh and the top-of-the-line Performance variant is priced at Rs 53 lakh (all prices Ex-showroom). The EV will be bought to India via CBU (completely built-unit) and will be offered with four colour options – Arctic Blue, Aurora White, Atlantis Gray and Cosmos Black.

Talking about the powertrain and battery, the Dynamic variant is powered by a 61.4 kWh LFP Blade battery paired with a single 204 hp electric motor which sends power to the rear wheels. The EV offers a claimed range of up to 510 km on one full charge. The mid-spec Premium variant gets a larger 82.5 kWh battery pack paired with a single electric motor which puts out 313 hp of power. The motor sends power to the rear wheels and has a claimed range of 650 km in one full charge. Top-of-the-line AWD Performance variant is powered by an 82.5 kWh battery pack paired with dual motors which send power to all four wheels. The electric motors produce a combined 530 hp of power and have a claimed range of up to 580 km on one full charge.
Talking about the design of the Seal EV, design is inspired by the Ocean X concept car. The EV gets an all-glass roof, flush-fitting door handles four boomerang-shaped LED daytime running lights, a split headlamp design and a full-width LED light bar at the rear.
In terms of dimensions, the EV measures 4,800mm in length, 1875mm in width and 1460 mm in height. The BYD Seal also gets a 50:50 weight distribution. The Seal has a wheelbase of 2920 mm. Moving on to the inside, the Seal EV gets a rotating massive 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system similar to Atto 3 and E6. The EV also features a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster and head-up display.
Talking about charging, the Seal can be charged at speeds of up to 150kW and a 10-80 per cent charge comes up in 37 minutes. Using a regular 11kW AC charger, it takes 8.6 hours to charge from 0-100 per cent.
