The asterisks denote a tie-in with Bond, James Bond. Film posters will illustrate the connection. The DB5 model of Aston Martin is linked in the public’s collective mind as the car driven by Bond. First featured in the 1969 film, “Goldfinger,” the car became a star.

However, Ian Fleming fans know Aston Martin and James Bond were first partnered in 1964 in the book titled “Goldfinger,” the author’s seventh book, said Mulhall.

The Aston Martin Club is one of the oldest one-maker clubs in the world. It was founded in 1935 by a group of friends led by Morris “Mort” Goodall, while socializing after races at Brooklands track.

Docents will be available at the exhibit to answer questions, all of them Aston Martin owners.

Examples of cars deemed worthy of the esteemed logo will be exhibited at the car show by members of the Pacific Region Ferrari Owners Club.

Founded in 1975 as the Bay Area Chapter of the Ferrari Owners Club, the first meeting was held in Sunnyvale with 35 prospective members.

The club left the FOC in 1989 and became affiliated with the Ferrari Club of America as the Pacific Region. The region, which extends from Fresno to Reno and north to the Oregon border and has about 600 members is described as among the most active of the Ferrari Club of America’s regions.

The region’s website is at www.ferraripacific.org.
