Check Out These Massive Discounts On New Maseratis

The Maserati brand occupies a weird spot. It’s not as prestigious as Ferrari, but their models are often priced higher than the German offerings. While the automaker is upgrading its lineup with some new and electrified cars, it struggles to sell the current batch of models, which means huge discounts for luxury buyers in the market for something different.

The main issue with Maserati is the models fall into two categories, you have cars like the GranTurismo and MC20 with exotic looks and an amazing soundtrack and then you have your mass-market choices like the Grecale, Levante, and Ghibli that are either just more expensive versions of Alfa Romeos or models that are long overdue for an update.

However, if you are a car buyer with money to burn and insist on having an Italian ride, now is a good opportunity to score a Maserati with tens of thousands of dollars off the sticker price. Here is a sampling of some of the steepest discounts I found online.

Maserati Grecale – $25,000 off MSRP

When we reviewed the fast but very expensive Grecale Trofeo, it was a neat car but it’s hard to justify the price premium over the Alfa Stelvio. This particular car is a four-cylinder model with an MSRP of almost $90,000. With the discount it might be a decent alternative to a base Macan.

Maserati Quattroporte Modena – $40,000 off MSRP

The Quattroporte is Maserati’s flagship sedan like an S-class or 7 series. I would argue it beats both those cars in the styling department but with only a turbo V6 under the hood and an interior that doesn’t exactly scream six-figure car, it would take a special buyer to appreciate this one even at it’s sale price.

Maserati GranTurismo Modena – $43,496 off MSRP

The GranTurismo is one of my all-time favorite cars. However, I was never really jazzed about the facelifted version and removing the Ferrari-sourced V8 for a V6 really reduced the character of the car. A solid discount, but I think most GT fans would rather roll the dice on an older, out-of-warranty model with a better soundtrack.

Maserati Levante Trofeo – $46,604 off MSRP

The Levante was Maserati’s answer to the Cayenne, a high-performance mid-size SUV. While they managed to mimic the Porsche pricing structure, Maserati couldn’t quite match the combination of speed and build quality at the same price point.

Maserati Ghibli Modena Q4 – $50,803 off MSRP

The Ghibli is the mid-size executive sedan like an E-class or 5 series, and for someone looking for solid lease, this could be a tempting proposition. I’ve encountered Maserati leases in the past that offered an excellent payment-to-MSRP ratio.

Maserati MC20 Coupe – $85,895 off MSRP

Finally an actual supercar with the Trident badge on the hood. If you are a big spender who is frustrated with the Ferrari waitlist, you will certainly turn some heads with the MC20.

Like any deals posted online there sure to be some caveats, but in this case I will quote the great Joe Walsh when he sang –

My Maserati does 185
I lost my license, now I don’t drive
