Citroen Basalt: Design
The model is based on its sibling C3 Aircross’s platform but stands out with its sleek, coupe-inspired design. Unlike the other mass-market SUVs, the Basalt features a smooth, flowing roofline and the French carmaker’s signature chrome grille with two slats. Further, it gets sleek LED headlights with X-shaped DRLs. On the sides, it features dynamic diamond-cut alloy wheels. Other highlights include silver skid plates, an integrated rear spoiler, and wraparound LED tail lights with a distinctive three-light stripe.
The Basalt is available in five solid colors: Polar White, Steel Grey, Platinum Grey, Cosmo Blue, and Garnet Red, with the white and red options featuring a blacked-out roof.

Citroen Basalt: Engine
Under the hood, this SUV offers two 1.2-litre petrol engine choices: a three-cylinder, NA motor that puts out 82 hp and 115 Nm and a 110 hp, turbo-petrol unit. As for the torque, the latter produces 190 Nm with the MT and 205 Nm with the AT. That said, the turbo-petrol engine is available with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission, while the naturally aspirated engine is paired exclusively with a manual gearbox.
