Citroen C3, C3 Aircross get new features: Launch date, expected price and more

Citroen India is all set to launch the Citroen Basalt coupe SUV soon in the Indian market. Along with the launch of Basalt, the company is also launching the updated C3 hatchback and the C3 Aircross SUV. Both models were showcased at the unveiling of the Basalt coupe-SUV and is expected to go on sale soon. The C3 and the C3 Aircross lacked features even in the most expensive variant, the updated models now get several new comfort, convenience and safety features, many of which are also found in the upcoming Basalt coupe SUV.Let’s take a look at what’s new in both cars.
2024 Citroen C3: What’s new?
The new C3 will get projector LED headlights, and turn indicators integrated into the wing mirrors which were previously located on the front fenders. The ORVMs will also auto-folding function. Other than this, there are no external changes made to the hatch. Moving inside, the C3 also gets a 7.0-inch full-digital instrument cluster display and automatic climate control. The rear power window switch has been shifted to individual door cards (previously positioned behind the hand brake).

Other features include 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system, electrically adjustable ORVMs, a rear parking camera, day/night IRVM, 15-inch diamond cut alloys, fog lights, rear wiper and washer, rear skid plates, a rear defogger. The hatch now also gets six airbags as standard and it continues to get other safety features such as Electronic Stability Program (ESP), TPMS, and hill hold assist, ABS, EBD, and rear parking sensors.

The C3 is offered with two engine options – a 1.2-litre three-cylinder naturally aspirated unit that produces 82hp and 115Nm and comes paired with a 5-speed manual. The other engine is the 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine which puts out 110 bhp of power and 190 Nm of torque. The engine comes paired with a 6-speed manual.

2024 Citroen C3 Aircross: What’s new?
Talking about the C3 Aircross SUV, just like the C3 hatch the SUV too gets projector LED headlamps and auto-folding ORVMs. Inside, again it gets updated with the same set of features found in the hatchback. It gets automatic climate control, a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster display, a larger, sliding front armrest, six airbags, a new flip key and the rear power window switches placed on the door cards.

It continues to get features such as a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, fully digital instrument cluster with drive modes. The C3 Aircross will be powered by a 1.2-litre, 3-cyl, turbocharged petrol engine which produces 110 hp of power and 170 Nm of torque. Gearbox options include only a 6-speed manual.
