The Euro-spec eC3 is based on a version of the Stellantis’ ‘Smart Car’ platform, unlike the CC21 platform that underpins the Indian model. That said, Citroen is offering the new eC3 with a 44 kWh battery pack providing a range of up to 320 km (199 miles) on a single charge as per the WLTP test cycle. The car gets 100 kW DC fast capability that can juice up the battery from 20% to 80% in just 26 minutes. The single electric motor puts out 113 hp of max power.
The new Citroen eC3 for Europe is priced at €23,300 which converts to around Rs 20.52 lakh in Indian currency! In contrast, the India-spec Citroen eC3 is priced from Rs 11.50 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards. Citroen says that a more affordable variant of the eC3 will arrive by 2025 with a price tag of €19,990 (INR 17.6 lakh), and offer a 200 km range.
