The issue means those affected are unable to withdraw cash at Coles registers – as well as pay for their items.
A Westpac customer recently took to social media to share their frustration over the issue.
“When is Coles going to allow cash out for Westpac customers at their stores?” the shopper asked in a new Facebook post.
“It’s been over a month now you’re ‘fixing the problem’.”
A Coles representative said the supermarket was working on a solution to fix the issue.
“We recently identified a technical issue that is affecting a small number of MasterCard users ability to select their account for payment,” a Coles spokesperson said.
“We are in the process of rolling out a fix across our stores and appreciate our customers patience while we rectify the issue.”
7NEWS.com.au understands that the issue should be rectified in stores this week.
