Crowd flees after Sydney teen is stabbed and assaulted amid fierce brawl

A teenage boy has been stabbed and seriously assaulted in Sydney’s west, prompting police to issue an appeal for information.

The 16-year-old boy was assaulted during a brawl in a car park on Mulgoa Road, near the intersection of Jamison Road, in Penrith just before midnight on Saturday May 1.

As seen in the video above, a crowd appears to flee the scene in two cars, leaving the injured teen on the ground.

Police officers found the boy suffering serious injuries, including a lacerated liver, facial fractures and cuts.

He was taken to Westmead Hospital for treatment and has since been released.

As part of their investigations, police released video and photos from the incident.

Investigators now want to speak to two people they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.

The male depicted is seen wearing a grey hoodie, black pants and white shoes.

He appears to be holding a baseball bat and is seen getting into a small hatchback before leaving the scene.

The second person, a female, is seen wearing a black shirt or shorts, a white top and white shoes.

Police have also released an image of a white 4WD ute with a flat silver tray, black snorkel, black mag wheels, black door handles and a black stripe on the side.

The first two characters of the vehicle’s number plate are 1Q.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, has dashcam or CCTV footage or information about the vehicle is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
