The winner of this year’s Gold Logie has been announced, completing a glamorous celebration of Australian TV at the 63rd TV WEEK Logie Awards. Held at The Star in Sydney and aired on Seven and 7plus, the star-studded event began with a red-carpet spectacle hosted by Sonia Kruger and Dr Chris Brown. The awards ceremony, hosted by comedian Sam Pang, featured Sonia Kruger winning the prestigious TV WEEK Gold Logie Award for Most Popular Personality on Australian Television for 2024. Daryl Somers, a former Gold Logie winner, presented the award. Sonia expressed her gratitude to the teams of Dancing With The Stars, The Voice, and Big Brother, as well as her family and James Warburton, before reflecting on the importance of making others feel good as a host. She also thanked Sunrise weatherman Sam Mac for her campaign slogan. Fans celebrated Sonia’s win and described her as deserving and hardworking. Sonia herself joked about her daughter calling her a “Gold Logie-winning Mum” and anticipated a busy morning after the Logies night.
