Swedish car manufacturer Polestar recently unveiled its upcoming electric models, the Polestar 3 and Polestar 5 at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. This annual motorsports festival serves as a stage for historic and modern cars and it is currently ongoing in Goodwood House, England.
The carmaker has revealed the upcoming Polestar 3 prototype with 510 hp and the Polestar 2 BST Edition 230 with 470 hp, however, the Polestar 5 was spotted fully camouflaged. Official photos provided a glimpse of the electric four-door GT prototype, revealing sculpted body with flush foor handles.
Thomas Ingenlath, CEO of Polestar expressed his excitement about showcasing the prototypes. He said, “We love showing our latest prototypes to the public at Goodwood. With production now starting in the first quarter of 2024, it’s time for Polestar 3 to take its first-ever run up the famous Hill. The SUV for the electric age looks fantastic and will be an exceptional car to own. The latest Polestar 5 verification prototype is here, too. Developed in the UK, Goodwood is like home turf for our electric 4-door GT.”
Slated to launch in 2024, the Polestar 5 will be powered by a dual-motor AWD powertrain, offering a peak power of 871 hp and impressive 900 Nm of torque. It will offer a claimed range of 600 km.
