Details of how Lionel Messi’s Audi Q8 narrowly avoided a crash in Miami after jumping a traffic signal

Known as one of the greatest footballers in the world ever, Lionel Messi is currently in the middle of a move to David Beckham’s Inter Miami CF after leading Argentina to the FIFA World Cup championship late last year. All set to be unveiled as an Inter Miami player tomorrow i.e. July 16, 2023, Messi was recently captured shopping for groceries with his family in the city of Miami. However, the superstar’s outing could have turned terrible after the Audi Q8 he was in, narrowly escaped a crash!

In a viral video that has been doing the rounds on social media, a white Audi Q8 SUV with Leo Messi reportedly inside is being escorted by a Fort Lauderdale Police car. It is not clear whether Messi himself was driving car or not.
The video shows the Q8 jumping a traffic signal and take a left at an intersection, with oncoming traffic from the behind! Thankfully, the drivers of the oncoming cars were attentive and managed to avoid hitting the footballer’s luxury SUV.

Talking about the Q8, the SUV is offered with a 3-litre V6 turbocharged petrol engine with a 48V mild-hybrid system, putting out a total of 340 PS of maximum power and 500 Nm of peak torque. In India, the Audi Q8 is currently priced from Rs 1.07 crore onwards. The performance-oriented RS Q8, on the other hand, gets a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine that makes 600 PS power and 800 Nm torque. The RS Q8 will set you back by Rs 2.22 crore (both prices, ex-showroom).
