Details of the New Mahindra XUV500 Aero Spotted Testing in India

Mahindra unveiled the XUV500 Aero, the SUV-coupe version of the XUV500 at the Auto Expo back in 2016. Now, the test mule of the upcoming Mahindra XUV500 Aero has been spotted testing on Indian roads alongside the test mule of the fully-camouflaged XUV700.
A short video is going viral, providing a glimpse of the XUV500 coupe SUV. According to the video, the upcoming SUV will receive steel rims, flush door handles, and a sloping roof line. The rear details are not visible as the company has hidden the rear of the coupe SUV.
Mahindra discontinued the XUV500 in November 2021 and introduced its popular XUV700 SUV the same year. Now, the carmaker is trying to fill the gap between the Mahindra XUV300 and Mahindra XUV700, offering customers an option within the range.
Mechanically, the Mahindra XUV500 Aero is likely to come equipped with a new 1.5L turbo-GDi petrol engine and a 1.5L diesel engine. The Coupe SUV might make its India debut next year. Once launched, it will rival the likes of the MG Hector, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Tata Harrier, and more in the Indian market.
