Diablo 4 fans are counting down to the release of the Lunar Awakening event, which will take place for a limited time. Launching to celebrate the Lunar New Year on February 10, the Diablo 4 Lunar Awakening event has a February 6 release date on PS5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC. Similar to past Diablo 4 events, Lunar Awakening has a 6pm GMT UK launch time. Available in both Seasonal and Eternal Realms, the limited time event runs until February 20, so there’s plenty of time to get involved.
The Lunar Awakening event will give players the opportunity to earn bonus XP and exclusive rewards.
Blizzard explains more: “In this event, a mysterious phenomenon is manifesting throughout the shrines of Sanctuary, enchanting them with immense and prosperous power.
“Through activating these shrines, you will earn 50% bonus XP and 30% movement speed, while also earning Ancestor’s Favour reputation.”
Lunar Shrines can be found in dungeons and in the overworld throughout Sanctuary. The Lunar Shrines are similar to regular Shrines, but are decorated with Dragon symbols.
Not only will enemies spawn immediately after activating Lunar Shrines, but players can take advantage of special augments.
Artillery Shrines give players a chance of summoning a holy bomb, while Blast Wave Shrines summon a cluster bombardment following every regular explosion.
Channeling Shrines offer increased attack speed and a chance to reset cooldowns, while Conduit Shrines summon frequent, powerful, shocking strikes.
There are also Greed Shrines, Lethal Shrines and Protection Shrines, the latter of which see players reflect all incoming damage.
In addition to bonus XP and movement speed, players will earn Ancestor’s Favor, which can be traded for six exclusive rewards from Ying-Yue, the leader of the Lunar Night Market. Ying-Yue can be found within a new hub on the Northern section of Ked Bardu.
