Diablo 4 fans are counting down to the start of Season of the Construct on PS5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC. Diablo 4 Season 3 has a January 23 release date and a 6pm GMT UK launch time. The new season will be accompanied by a big update, which introduces a host of new features, a selection of balance changes, new rewards, new monsters, bosses and a hell of a lot more – pun intended.
According to the Diablo 4 studio, Season of the Construct revolves around an ancient technology known as the Loom, which has been taken by the Demon Malphas.
Blizzard explains more: “In this all-new quest line, team up with Zoltun’s former companion, Ayuzhan, to defeat Malphas and his deadly constructs.
“Visit the Gatehall, a new town centre underneath Kehjistan, which will serve as your base of operations in the fight against the Constructs.
“You will acquire your very own Seneschal Companion during the Seasonal Questline which will fight by your side and can be customised to fit your playstyle.”
Players will be able to augment the Seneschal by using magical Governing and Tuning Stones recovered from Vaults. This will change the attacks and abilities the Seneschal can perform.
Speaking of Vaults, Blizzard describes them as deadly new dungeons full of new monsters and various elemental Hazards. You can even explore Nightmare Vaults by reaching World Level III.
Outside of new quests, monsters and powers, players will also be able to explore The Gauntlet.
The Gauntlet is a weekly rotating fixed dungeon where players can compete for the top spot on the leaderboard.
If you do manage to top the leaderboard on any given week, then you’ll earn a spot in the Hall of the Ancients.
In terms of quality of life improvements, Helltides will remain permanently active barring a 5-minute rest period every hour, while PC users will be able to move around Sanctuary using the W-A-S-D keys on the keyboard.
Blizzard is also giving players an extra Stash Tab, all the while improving skill tree reallocation, the user-interface and more.
Indeed, Blizzard has already released the patch notes for update 1.3.0. You can check out the full list of Diablo 4 Season 3 patch notes on the game’s website.
