Xbox Game Pass subscribers are counting down to the release of Diablo 4 on Microsoft’s subscription service. The demonic dungeon-crawler has a March 28 Xbox Game Pass release date for consoles and PC. Unfortunately, there’s no official launch time, with Game Pass titles proving somewhat unpredictable when it comes to timings. However, considering Diablo 4 is already available to purchase outside of Game Pass, don’t be surprised if it unlocks at midnight local time. The great thing about the Xbox Game Pass release is that you can give Diablo 4 a try for as little as £1 with Microsoft’s offer for new subscribers. Just click the link below to visit the Xbox Game Pass website, where new customers can sign up for a 14-day Ultimate trial for just £1. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate lets you play hundreds of games on Xbox and PC, including Electronic Arts releases as part of EA Play. You’ll also be able to play first-party Xbox games on the day of launch, and participate in online multiplayer.
Once the 14-day trial period comes to an end, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate costs £12.99 a month.
Alternatively, you can sign up for a regular Xbox Game Pass subscription for £8.99 a month. This features the same line-up of playable Xbox games and day-one launches, but not online multiplayer and EA Play releases.
With Diablo 4 placing a big emphasis on online multiplayer, an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription is probably your best bet.
The launch of Diablo 4 on Xbox Game Pass coincides with the release of the recent Ray-Tracing update.
Ray-Tracing affects things like shadows and reflections, making them more realistic.
Xbox users can turn on Ray-Tracing by visiting the ‘Graphics’ tab and selecting ‘Enhanced Visuals’ from the ‘Performance’ menu. Unfortunately, however, this will lock the game at 30 frames-per-second.
It’s also worth noting that Diablo 4 developer Blizzard is currently holding another Mother’s Blessing event.
The perfect way for Xbox Game Pass users to level up their character and unlock some of the best items, Mother’s Blessing gives players a 35% boost in XP and Gold.
Running until April 2, the XP and Gold boost is available in all of the game’s realms, meaning newcomers and long-time fans can reap the rewards.
If you decide to pick up the Diablo 4 Battle Pass, then Mother’s Blessing will also help you get to the highest levels and complete the pass before the next season.
