How to Perform a Cartwheel?
To perform a cartwheel, follow these steps:
Starting Position
- Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart.
- Raise your arms above your head.
Cartwheel Motion
- Take a step forward with one leg (your leading leg).
- Swing your other leg up and over your body.
- Place your hands on the ground, shoulder-width apart.
- Kick your legs over your body, keeping them straight.
- As your legs come down, lift your hands off the ground.
- Finish in a standing position.
Tips
- Keep your back straight and your core engaged.
- Land on the balls of your feet.
- Practice on a soft surface or with a spotter.
