According to a social media alert from the DoT, the recorded message in these calls advises people to sell Indian stocks before March 12. It further claims that the stock market in India (Bombay Stock Exchange and National Stock Exchange) will face imminent destruction.
In response to these malicious calls, the DoT release stated, “Individuals who receive such calls are advised to report them to the DoT at help-sancharsaathi@gov.in or to their telecom service providers.”
