Ayushmann Khurrana’s Dream Girl 2 has now become his fourth film after Dream Girl, Bala and Badhaai Ho to enter the 100 crore club. The film is a sequel to the 2019 super successful entertainer Dream Girl which also had Ayushmann in the lead.
‘Dream Girl 2’ has been facing tough competition ever since its release. First it was Gadar 2, which was already in its third week but had no intention of slowing down and then Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan added to the box office pressure.However, ‘Dream Girl 2’ has managed to shine.
As per Sacnilk, Dream Girl 2 made about Rs 60 lakhs on Monday, taking the film’s grand total to Rs 100.01 crore. The film also recorded the biggest opening for Ayushmann, with a whopping Rs Rs 10.69 crore on the first day. In its first week, Dream Girl 2 earned Rs 67 crore and added another Rs 28 crore in the second week.

Interestingly, Dream Girl 2 marked Ananya Panday’s first 100 crore movie. Celebrating the success, the actress shared on Instagram, “My first century!!

Dream Girl 2 stars Ayushmann Khurrana as the lead character, who turns into his feminine alter-ego Pooja in order to make quick money. His goal is to marry Pari Srivastava, played by Ananya Panday. The cast of Dream Girl 2 also includes Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Annu Kapoor, Seema Pahwa, Manjot Singh, Vijay Raaz, and Asrani.
Post Dream Girl 2, Ayushmann Khurrana will team up with his ‘Bala’ director Amar Kaushik for a quirky entertainer titled ‘Vampires of Vijay Nagar’. In this movie, Ayushmann will be seen sharing the screen with his brother, Aparshakti Khurrana.
