Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Dunki’ had a strong start at the box office, but the numbers have been dropping since the past few days. The film concluded its first week with Rs 152.01 crore.
On Thursday, ‘Dunki’ added Rs 9 crore to its total, which now stands at Rs 161.01 crore, reports Sacnilk. The film witnessed a slight drop from its Wednesday numbers. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, ‘Dunki’ clashed at the box office with ‘Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire’.
‘Dunki’ marks Shah Rukh Khan’s third release this year, after the mega blockbusters – Jawan and Pathaan. During a recent #ASKSRK session on X (formerly Twitter), a fan complained to Shah Rukh Khan about the marketing of Jawan and Dunki. The user wrote, “HOPE YOU READ IT. Sir we have seen worst marketing for Jawan and Dunki. Please hire some skilled employees in @RedChilliesEnt.” Reacting to the complain, SRK wrote, “Main hi marketing karta hoon (I only handle marketing). How to fire myself!! #Dunki.”
‘Dunki’ is based on the illegal immigration technique, which goes by the name of ‘donkey flight’. Apart from SRK, the film also stars Taapsee Pannu, Boman Irani and Anil Grover, while Vicky Kaushal is seen in a special appearance.
