A magnitude 3.5 earthquake struck in Fullerton, Calif., near Disneyland, on Monday night, and the park temporarily closed at least 35 rides, according to the Orange County Register.
The quake hit at 8:10 p.m. with a depth of about 6.6 miles, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The epicenter was near Riverside Drive and Raymond Avenue in Fullerton, several miles northeast of Disneyland.
The USGS said over 2,800 people reported feeling shaking to the agency through it’s Felt Report.

Brian Olson, an earthquake hazard scientist, was at his house in Fullerton when the quake hit and he wrote in social media that he “felt a single jolt.”
The Cal State Fullerton Police Department issued a statement in social media alerting students of the quake; the department said that quakes of this size do not typically cause damage.
Rides that were temporarily shut down to allow staff to follow safety protocol included everything from Big Thunder Mountain Railroad to the Matterhorn Bobsleds, the Register reported. There were no reports of damage at Disneyland or California Adventure, according to the news site.
