Last night, Zendaya and Florence Pugh – who rarely sing from the same hymn sheet – attended the Mexico premiere of Dune: Part Two in coordinating looks that were aligned not in aesthetic likeness but a certain eccentric spirit. Zendaya wore the skin of an alien beast–faux, thanks to Matthieu Blazy’s atelier in Milan–while Pugh’s bodycon had been ruched in what looks like preternatural vertebrae, care of Michael Stewart. I think this will be the highlight of the duo’s promotional tourdrobe.
Zendaya–whose image is still being architected by Law Roach–had been dressed in a custom two piece inspired by one of Bottega Veneta’s fall 2023 dresses. You might have recognised the look should you also have read articles such as “Kendall Is Learning To Make Weird (And Wonderful) Fashion Choices”, which includes photos of the model in the catwalk original; the scaled-leather bodice was sliced at the navel and the skirt extended in length for Zendaya’s moment.

Pugh, meanwhile, called on Standing Ground–the emergent London label and Fashion East alumnus–which is fast becoming a red carpet underdog.
