Former Sunrise star David ‘Kochie’ Koch has taken a lighthearted approach to his retirement, joking about how well he’s adjusted to life after Sunrise. Since stepping back as co-host in May, Kochie has had more than a month of sleep-ins. In a post shared on Instagram, an account called Fashion Critical highlighted the best looks from the Logies red carpet, including a photo of presenter Nat Barr and new co-host Matt Shirvington. The post praised Nat’s elegant black strapless gown and jokingly referred to Matt as Kochie. Kochie joined in on the fun, sharing the post on his Instagram stories and agreeing with the comment. The Sunrise team later discussed Kochie’s “loose” night at the Logies, with the presenters joking about his relaxed and carefree demeanor. Host Sam Pang also made playful jabs at Kochie during the Logies telecast, much to the amusement of the audience and Kochie himself.
