Lucknow: Former Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma celebrated his 37th birthday by cutting a cake at midnight with his wife and teammates ahead of their important clash against Lucknow Super Giants on Tuesday. In a picture that is circulating on social media, Rohit, clad in his shorts and with a big smile on his face, was seen cutting the cake. For the unknown, Rohit is the first captain in the history of Indian Premier League to win five IPL titles with Mumbai Indians. However, Rohit was replaced by Hardik Pandya as the Mumbai Indians skipper ahead of the IPL 2024.

Meanwhile, Rohit will be leading the Indian team in the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024. He met the BCCI chief selector Ajit Agarkar in Delhi on Sunday and the final 15-member squad will be announced before May 1. As far as his IPL 2024 performances is concerned, Rohit has so far scored 311 runs in nine matches, including an unbeaten century in a losing cause.
