Four people have been injured in a serious car crash in Sydney’s south.
The car allegedly crashed at speed into a power pole and fence on King Georges Rd at Hurstville Grove about 2.45am, bringing down power lines.
The 18-year-old driver and his 19-year-old female passenger were trapped in the vehicle for some time, and had to be extracted by Fire and Rescue NSW.

The duo have since been taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.
Two other passengers were treated for minor injuries.
The 20-year-old male and 16-year-old girl were taken to St George Hospital.
Motorists are now being warned the crash could have a serious impact on peak-hour traffic.
King Georges Rd between Woniora Rd and Maher St is expected to remain closed in both directions for hours.
Drivers are advised to expect significant delays.
Light vehicle drivers are being directed to Woniora Rd and Connells Point Rd as an alternative route.
Heavy vehicles, including B-doubles, can use Forest Rd and Princes Hwy.
