On Friday evening, the Golden State Warriors will face off against the Charlotte Hornets in North Carolina.
Before the game, the team announced that they had made a roster move by assigning Gui Santos to the Santa Cruz Warriors (G League).
Via Golden State Warriors PR: “The Golden State Warriors have assigned forward Gui Santos to the team’s G League affiliate, the Santa Cruz Warriors, it was announced today.”
Santos was the 55th pick in the 2022 NBA Draft and is his first year playing for the Warriors.
He is averaging 3.4 points and 2.2 rebounds per contest while shooting 50.0% from the field and 40.9% from the three-point range in 20 games.
Santos has also spent a lot of time in the G League and is averaging 14.5 points, 7.9 rebounds and 2.5 assists per contest while shooting 44.0% from the field and 34.4% from the three-point range in 15 regular season games.
As for the Warriors, they are the tenth seed in the Western Conference with a 38-34 record in 72 games.
They have gone 5-5 over their last ten games and are also in the middle of a two-game winning streak.
Most recently, the Warriors beat Paolo Banchero and the Orlando Magic (in Florida) by a score of 101-93.
Following their matchup with the Hornets, the Warriors will play their next game on Sunday evening when they visit the San Antonio Spurs in Texas.
On the road, they are 20-15 in the 35 games they have played away from the Chase Center.
