Gujarat Night Curfew Latest News Today: Even though the coronavirus cases are going down, the Gujarat government on Thursday took preventive measures and imposed night curfew only in two cities such as Ahmedabad, Vadodara. As per the latest order, the night curfew will be imposed in these two cities from February 18 to 25. Last week, the Gujarat government had relaxed the ongoing night curfew in eight major cities amid improvement in the Coronavirus situation. According to the chief minister’s office, the curfew was imposed in the state from 12 AM to 5 AM till February 18. These eight cities included Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, Rajkot, Bhavnagar, Jamnagar, Junagadh and Gandhinagar. The decision was taken by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel after reviewing the COVID situation at the meeting of the state’s core committee in Gandhinagar.
Corona cases: Gujarat on Wednesday recorded 884 new COVID-19 cases and 13 fresh deaths, taking the overall tally to 12,18,212 and the toll to 10,851. On Tuesday, the state reported less than 1,000 new COVID-19 cases at 998 for the first time in nearly a month-and-a-half and 16 deaths.
District-wise, Ahmedabad reported the highest number of 317 new cases, Vadodara 202, Surat 53, Gandhinagar 42 and Rajkot 29, among others. In terms of death, Vadodara recorded the highest at six, followed by three in Ahmedabad, two in Surat, one each in Tapi and Jamnagar.
