According to reports, the event is named the Hope Gala and is held in support of Alia’s charity Salaam Bombay.The charity aims to empower Mumbai’s most vulnerable children through in-school programs focused on leadership and advocacy, as well as after-school academies for skill-building, enhancing their confidence, self-esteem, and encouraging them to remain in school. The event will be attended by philanthropists from India and the United Kingdom.
Now sources have exclusively told ETimes that famous singer Harshdeep Kaur ( She sang Dilbaro from Raazi for Alia) , comedian Rohan Joshi and Paris-based Tamil dancer and choreographer Usha Jey have been roped in to perform at the event. The idea is to have a mix of entertainment and social work for everyone present.
Alia Bhatt was recently spotted playing Holi with husband Ranbir Kapoor and daughter Raha at their building with their neighbors. She is currently in London, she left last night from Mumbai to attend the event. Alia will now be seen on the big screen in her next film Jigra, which she is co-producing with Karan Johar and directed by Vasan Bala. She also has signed Love And War with Sanjay Leela Bhansali starring Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.
