One of the world’s fastest cars, the Hennessey Venom F5, is gaining another topless stablemate with the track-focused Revolution Roadster.
Hennessey Special Vehicles, a Texas-based hypercar manufacturer and tuning house, has debuted the Revolution Roadster ahead of its in-person unveiling on August 18 at Monterey Car Week’s ‘The Quail’.
The Revolution Roadster, which Hennessey claims will be the world’s fastest convertible, will be the fourth model to join Hennessey’s hypercar lineup, which currently consists of the Venom F5 Coupe, Venom F5 Roadster, and Venom F5 Revolution Coupe.

For the first time, Hennessey has used a bare carbon finish for the exterior, with handcrafted exposed carbon-fibre weave found found across the body of this track-focused convertible.
Although it has similar aero elements to its Revolution Coupe sibling, Hennessey claims the roadster has improved handling and higher downforce thanks to larger front and rear splitters, dive planes on the front fascia, and a high rear spoiler.
Additionally, the suspension has been returned and the model has also gained new wheels to ensure it can still reach the expected eye-watering high speeds in its top-down configuration.
The model also retains the gill-like air intake from the Revolution Coupe on the centre of the bonnet below the windshield, intended to cool the engine.
As with all other Hennessey models, the Revolution Roadster features a carbon-fibre monocoque and is powered by a mid-mounted 6.6-litre twin-turbocharged pushrod V8 wound up to 1355kW of power and 1617Nm of torque. It has an 8000rpm redline.
The engine can be seen through a viewing window set behind the cabin.
A removable carbon-fibre composite roof panel weighing only 8kg is light enough for an individual to remove, while still being insulated and secured with high-strength latches to ensure its ability to withstand weather and aerodynamic forces at extreme speeds.
Each of the 12 units have already been sold, with the Revolution Roadster priced at US$3 million (AU$4.6 million) price tag.
While the brand says the F5 Coupe was its conduit for the ultimate top speed, the roofless F5 Roadster for driving experience, and the F5 Revolution Coupe for its track-focused abilities, the Revolution Roadster “combines these models’ best traits — combining visceral open-air motoring with a racing circuit focus.”
“The new Venom F5 Revolution Roadster combines our track-focused hypercar with an open-top for an unmatched visceral driving experience,” said company CEO and founder John Hennessey.
According to Mr Hennessey, the first example of the Revolution Roadster was built for a ‘special client’ and “is a timeless work of art that is as visually inspiring as it is physically engaging.”
