Indian two-wheeler manufacturer Hero Electric recently unveiled its updated range of electric scooters. The brand has updated three electric scooters – the Optima CX2.0, the Optima CX5.0 and the Nyx CX5.0. Prices of the updated e scooters will be announced soon.
The Hero Optima CX2.0 e-scooter comes equipped with a single LFP battery, while the Optima CX5.0 and the Nyx CX5.0 gets dual LFP batteries.
2023 Hero Optima CX2.0
The 2023 Hero Optima CX2.0 is powered by a 2 kWh lithium-ion battery that offers a claimed range of 89 km per charge. It can be fully charged in four and half hours. The electric scooter gets a 1.9 kW motor, propelling it to a top speed of 48 kmph. Having a kerb weight of 93 kg, the updated Optima CX2.0 has a ground clearance of 165mm. Some of its key features are a side-stand sensor along with drive mode lock, reverse roll protection and combined braking system.

Powering the updated Optima CX5.0 is a 3 kWh lithium-ion battery with 113 km range per charge. Similar to the Optima CX2.0, the CX5.0 makes use of a 1.9 kW motor and a top speed of 55 kmph. It has a kerb weight of 103 kg and 165mm ground clearance. Using a dual charger, the battery can be charged from 0-100 in around three hours.

The Nyx CX5.0 battery takes around 3 hours to get fully charged using a dual charger. It weighs around 106 kg and has a high ground clearance of 175mm.
