Hero MotoCorp two-wheelers to get costlier from October 3: Here’s by how much

Hero MotoCorp has announced a price hike on select motorcycles and scooters, effective from October 3, 2023. The company has cited rising input costs, including the cost of raw materials and logistics, product competitiveness, positioning, margins, and market share as the reason for the price hike. The manufacturer, in a statement, also said that the price hike will vary by specific models and markets.
Hero MotoCorp is yet to release a list of motorcycles and scooters on which a price hike will be applicable. The company recently introduced a slew of new models to expand its product portfolio in India. At present, the company has a host of motorcycles on offer, ranging from the entry-level Splendor+ to the newly-launched Karizma XMR. APart from that, the manufacturer also sells the Harley-Davidson X440, which was introduced earlier this year as part of the company’s global partnership with the US-based bikemaker.

On the other hand, Hero has five scooters on sale in India, encompassing the newly-launched Destini Prime to the flagship Maestro Edge 125.
How much is the price hike?
Come October 2023, the price of select Hero two-wheeler models will get a price hike of 1 percent. Earlier this year, the company announced an upward revision of 1.5 percent in July. The latest revision comes ahead of the festive season, a time when two-wheeler sales in India are at its peak.
Customers who are planning to buy a new Hero MotoCorp two-wheeler are advised to book their vehicle as soon as possible, before the price hike comes into effect on Monday.
