Virgin Australia has launched a massive mid-year sale, with more than one million fares available for one week.
Starting from just $49 one-way, the sale comes just in time for those looking to use their tax returns to book holidays for the year ahead.
“As Australians wrap up the financial year and look for ways to travel for less over the next 12 months, the Virgin Australia Mid-year Sale is the perfect excuse to book ahead and save big for their next dream holiday,” the airline said in a statement.

The sale dropped on Monday, with a million fares up for grabs for until midnight on July 8, or until sold out.
Lucky travellers can snatch up the on-sale tickets for travel dates from July 30, 2023, through to June 3, 2024.
“With sale fares starting from just $49, coupled with tax return season, Aussies can book their next holiday without breaking the bank,” Virgin Australia chief commercial officer Dave Emerson said.
Locations included in the sale include domestic hotspots such as the Sunshine Coast, Cairns and Gold Coast as well as international destinations such as Fiji, Tokyo and Bali, with all sale fares including Velocity Frequent Flyer Points and Status Credits.
