As the Cannes Film Festival makes its triumphant return, Bella Hadid continues to turn La Croisette into her own personal runway. On Saturday night, the supermodel attended the star-studded Dior x Vogue Paris dinner at Loulou restaurant, where she made a sleek entrance in an all-white Dior Men’s look designed by Kim Jones. True to form, Hadid complemented the noughties-inspired ensemble—an oversized blazer, bustier top, and slouchy trousers that sat low on the hips—with a striking beauty look to match.
Ahead of the event, hairstylist Jennifer Yepez pulled back Hadid’s newly-darkened lengths into a high-slung updo punctuated by a clean center part and a knot of loose spirals. To channel the festival’s longstanding tribute to classic glamour, makeup artist Sam Visser supplied a location-appropriate sun-kissed glow with warm skin and a pinch of coral blush. “Think: What it feels like to be on the beach during a hot summer day and how it naturally gives you a flushed appearance,” explains Visser, who utilized Dior Backstage Face & Body Foundation and Rosy Glow Blush in Coral to simulate that experience. Dusting Hadid’s blue eyes with shimmering gold and taupe shadows using Dior 5 Couleurs Couture Eyeshadow Palettes in Wild Brown and Jungle, Visser finished things off with a slick of Dior Lip Glow Oil in a nod to the “ease and freeness” of the French Riviera. Here, Hadid gives Vogue and inside look at her getting-ready glam session.
