Paris Olympics 2024: South Korean multinational company Samsung, which deals in smartphones and electronic products, has sponsored the Paris Olympics 2024. Notably, this is the 17th time that Samsung has officially sponsored the Olympics and Paralympic Games. Additionally, the company is also serving as the Official Wireless Communication and Computing Equipment Partner for the Olympics for the 14th time.
During the Opening Ceremony of Paris 2024 Olympics, Samsung released a “Techmentary” that showcases the brand’s role in the prestigious games.
It highlights how the company is working to enhance the Olympic experience for viewers, by bringing them closer to the action at the Opening Ceremony and the Sailing competition with the Galaxy S24 Ultra, and capturing a new, meaningful view from the podium with the Victory Selfie, powered by the Galaxy Z Flip6 Olympic Edition.
Tech Integrations
– The Opening Ceremony and Sailing Competition tech integrations used more than 250 Galaxy phones and took over 360 days of testing by over 100 Samsung experts.
– Galaxy technology and 5G connectivity will allow fans to be closer to the action than ever before at Paris 2024.
Opening Ceremony
– In collaboration with the IOC, Samsung Galaxy has led the way in using phones with unapparelled 5G connectivity and portability.
– Samsung Galaxy S24s will complement and enhance the traditional Opening Ceremony broadcast with 200 phones being installed on 85 boats allowing viewers to be closer to the athletes than ever before.
Sailing Competition
– The Galaxy S24 is ideal for transmitting live footage of the athletes in real time.
– Due to the movement of the boats, the anticipated network coverage continuously changes with the waves, so to provide complete coverage,
Samsung experts had to ensure there were no gaps. Experts studied each of the three antennas independently to assess their range.
