Hyundai i20 Sportz (O) launched at Rs 8.73 lakh: Here’s what’s new

Hyundai has launched the i20 Sportz (O) variant in India at Rs 8.73 lakh, ex-showroom. The new optional variant, based on the Sportz trim, is available with a manual gearbox. It also offers both single and dual-tone colour options. The dual-tone variant is slightly pricier at Rs. 8.88 lakh, ex-showroom.
The i20 Sportz (O) employs a 1.2-litre petrol engine that makes 82 hp and 115 Nm of torque.This motor is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
Hyundai i20 Sportz (O): What’s new
The upgraded Sportz (O) variant comes at a premium of Rs 35,000 compared to the standard Sportz trim. This extra cost includes three new features: a wireless charger, leatherette finish on the door armrest, and an electrically adjustable sunroof.

In addition to the new Sportz (O), the i20 is available in five other variants: Era, Magna, Sportz, Asta, and Asta (O), priced between Rs. 7.04 lakh and Rs. 11.21 lakh, ex-showroom.
Hyundai Motor India: January 2024 highest-ever sales
The South Korean carmaker has kicked off the new fiscal year 2024 with record-breaking wholesale numbers for January. With 57,118 units sold, this marks a robust 14% year-on-year increase compared to January 2023, which saw sales of 50,106 units. The demand for Hyundai’s passenger vehicle range remains strong, driven by the recently facelifted Creta midsize SUV and the newly launched Exter compact SUV.
