Hyundai’s exports during the month stood at 16,350, up by 2.18 percent, as compared to 16,001 units shipped in the year-ago period.

India is the third-largest market globally for the South Korean manufacturer and ranks just behind the United States and the EU in terms of market share. So far, the Indian market has contributed to 18.6 percent to the global Hyundai sales in 2023. The manufacturer cited the festive season to be one of the factors that has prompted this growth in the penultimate month of the year.
Tarun Garg, COO, Hyundai Motor India, said that the company’s SUV line-up continues to exhibit robust momentum, contributing over 60 percent to our overall sales. Earlier this year, the OEM introduced the Exter SUV to expand their SUV portfolio in India. Garg revealed that the compact SUV has so far received over 1 lakh bookings, thus contributing significantly to the company’s domestic sales.
Besides that, the company sells a host of popular products in the country which includes the likes of Grand i10 Nios, i20, Verna, Venue, and Creta. As part of its electrification strategy in India, the company also offers Kona and Ioniq 5 electric cars.
