Suzuki Fronx for Japan: What’s different
The first batch of these vehicles was shipped from Gujarat’s Pipavav port, and new details have now emerged indicating that the Fronx headed for Japan is equipped with Suzuki’s AllGrip Select AWD technology.Unlike the Indian version, which lacks an all-wheel-drive option, the Japanese model features this advanced system, offering four modes: Auto, Sport, Snow, and Lock. These modes ensure optimal power distribution to the rear axle in challenging conditions, thus making the crossover SUV more versatile on varied terrains.
In addition to AWD, the Japan-spec Fronx is outfitted with a host of ADAS features. The ADAS features include adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and front parking sensors. An electronic parking brake with hill-hold function and heated seats are other major highlights of the Japan-spec model. Besides that, the model also gets a re-tuned suspension setup for the Japanese market.
