As she’s a FIFO worker earning $34 per hour, she gets all flights, meals and accommodation for free.
“It’s definitely the best for saving money as a backpacker in Australia,” Bailey said in her TikTok video.
“It’s an unskilled job. If you have a trade, it would be much more money.”
When she wakes up before her shift, she always drinks water to help rehydrate her body.
Then she hops into her tasks, which include laundry, folding sheets, tidying up the dining hall, housekeeping and carrying out pre-arrival checks of rooms to ensure they are clean for FIFO employees.
In one of her videos, she revealed she made a whopping $4046, after tax, from just two weeks of work at the mine site.
However, she noted she was on a casual rate so her shifts are inconsistent every week.
“I’m a casual worker so I don’t get paid for my time off,” she said.
“But it works well for me being casual.”
With no experience, she managed to get a FIFO job
