Meta-owned Instagram experienced a brief outage in several locations this morning. Although there is currently no information about the cause or the extent of the affected services, Twitter has been flooded with memes about the outage. The outage affected over 52,000 users in the United States and nearly 2,000 users in India, according to the outage reporting website Downdetector. This is the third outage Instagram has faced in one month, with previous outages occurring on July 11 and July 20.
