Isotta is now shipping its housing for the Canon EOS R6 Mark II. The second iteration of Canon’s enthusiast-level full-frame camera features a new 24.2MP sensor, an upgraded autofocus system borrowing AI-powered tracking from the R3, and improved video, including oversampled 4K/60p 10-bit 4:2:2 capture with no crop and the ability to output 6K RAW to an external recorder.
Isotta’s housing for the R6 Mark II offers a similarly comprehensive set of features to its predecessor housing from three years ago. You get the same anodized aluminum construction (and signature Isotta red paint), integrated adjustable handles, one-handed open/close, and double O-ring seals on buttons and removable parts. There are two zoom knobs (one for RF lenses and one for EF lenses), a large-bore M24 port supporting HDMI 2.0 output to a recorder/monitor like the Atomos Ninja V and two M16 ports, plus two fiber-optic ports—but the trigger is an optional extra. It’s also possible to order the housing with Nikonos N5 or S6 bulkheads if you prefer electrical triggering.
