Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant‘s grand wedding in Mumbai on July 12 followed months of pre-wedding celebrations, including a unique bridal shower in mid-April attended by men as well. Actress Janhvi Kapoor has since reflected on these events and shared several new insights.
In a recent conversation with Mashable India, Janhvi Kapoor, a close friend of Radhika, described the bridal shower as quite enjoyable.She mentioned that while the event was intended to be intimate, there was a last-minute realization that it couldn’t be simple, leading to some last-minute panic.

The actress shared that the entire group of friends aimed to make Radhika Merchant’s day unforgettable and special. She mentioned that Radhika always takes great care of them, and they wanted to celebrate her before her significant moment.

Despite being a bridal shower, several men, including the groom-to-be Anant Ambani and Janhvi Kapoor’s partner Shikhar Pahariya, were present. When asked if they gatecrashed the event, Janhvi clarified that their presence was planned, as the friend group is close-knit and always values being together.

For the occasion, Radhika’s bridesmaids wore stunning outfits, including pink pajamas and tiaras, while Radhika herself shone in a white outfit with a charming crown. Janhvi Kapoor shared a carousel of photos from the event, captioning it, “A Princess Diaries Royal slumber party for the most special bride.”
