The last three stars who made it to the Dancing With the Stars grand finale were announced on Monday night’s episode. The judges had a difficult time deciding, as there were fantastic performances from all the contestants. The celebrities who gave it their all included actors Pia Miranda, Virginia Gay, and Christie Whelan-Browne, radio host and podcaster Laura Byrne, Human Nature singer Phil Burton, and Olympian Sally Pearson. Their goal was to impress the judges and move one step closer to winning the coveted Mirror Ball Trophy. Throughout the night, several contestants received perfect 10 scores, but only one pair managed to score perfect 10s from all four judges. Actor Virginia Gay and her dance partner Ian Waite received consistently high scores throughout the competition, and on Monday night, they impressed the judges with their “sassy, sensuous” foxtrot. The judges were ecstatic and praised Virginia’s natural musicality, elegant dancing, and refined execution. Even the super-critical judge, Craig Revel Horwood, called their performance “genius.” The entire audience and Virginia and Ian were thrilled with the perfect 10 scores they received. The next spot in the finale was up for grabs among Pia Miranda, Christie Whelan Brown, and Laura Byrne. After a dance-off, the judges unanimously chose Christie Whelan Brown and her partner Craig Monley as the final pair. The six grand finalists for 2023 are Paulini, Christie Whelan Brown, Mary Coustas, Virginia Gay, Phil Burton, and Emily Weir.
