Kaiser Foundation Health Plan has purchased a large piece of land next to their building in Gilroy for potential expansion. The property, consisting of empty land and a parking lot, measures 6.9 acres and was bought for $3.4 million. The Gilroy medical offices, which provide various services such as internal medicine, family medicine, and radiology among others, occupy a smaller parcel of 4.6 acres. This purchase is part of Kaiser’s efforts to expand its operations in the Bay Area. Additionally, Kaiser has plans to renovate its Santa Teresa campus in south San Jose, which includes the construction of a new hospital to replace the existing one.
