Hyderabad: It was a night to remember for Sunrisers Hyderabad as they registered their first win of the IPL 2024 season on Wednesday. The 31-run win came against the most successful IPL team, the Mumbai Indians. And that seemed to be a good reason for SRH owner to celebrate. Kaviya Maran, the SRH owner, was in the stands for the duration of the match and she was impressed with the way her side fared. She was jumping in joy after SRH won the match and visuals of that is being loved by fans on social space.

Asked to bat first, SRH posted a mammoth 277/3 – highest in the history of Indian Premier League. They surpassed Royal Challengers Bangalore’s 263/5 against Pune Warriors India in 2013.
In reply, Mumbai Indians stayed in the chase till the 18th over before managing 246/5 in 20 overs to lose their second match on the trot in the ongoing edition. It was also the first time, 500 runs were scored in a game.
“That was insane. The ball was really pinging around. Not until we bowled, it got a bit too close for comfort. They found a boundary whenever they needed it, but we finished it off well. (On Abhishek Sharma) Really impressive, in IPL you play with a lot of pressure but he plays with great freedom,” Pat Cummins said at the post-match presentation.
SRH, who in the third spot after two games, would take on Gujarat Titans in their next game on March 31.
