The Kawasaki Ninja 500 is based on a trellis frame and is powered by a new liquid-cooled, 451cc, parallel-twin engine which puts out 45hp at 9,000rpm and 42.6Nm at 6,000rpm.It comes paired with paired with a six-speed gearbox with slip and assist function and the same engine also does the job in Kawasaki Eliminator 500 Cruiser.
The bike gets a telescopic fork at the front and a mono-shock at the rear. The bike rides on 17-inch wheels with 110-section front and 150-section rear Dunlop Sportmax GPR-300 tyres. Braking duties are taken care of by a 310mm disc at the front and a 220mm disc at the rear. The bike tips the scale at 171 kg and has a 785mm seat height.
In terms of features, the bike gets a fully LCD instrument console with smartphone connectivity, dual-channel ABS, LED headlight with a projector for the low beam and reflective LED for the high beam along with LED taillights and more. The new Kawasaki Ninja 500 will come to India via the CBU route. Bookings for the Ninja 500 have commenced and deliveries are expected to begin in March 2024.
