The $8 kids book – written by Rosie Greening – features a red, squishy rubber object in the middle of the cardboard pages which is in the shape of Santa’s bottom.

The squishy buttocks are featured on every page of the book, and children are able to poke them.

In her video, the mum said she is a fan of Kmart, but does not believe this book is appropriate for kids.

“So I’m here at Kmart, right? I’m in the children’s area, as you can see, and I stumbled upon this OK?” she said.

“And I just find it really … it’s not for kids.”

As she poked Santa’s behind, she added: “Even though they’re squishy – why is this a book for children, why?

“Maybe as a sensory thing, but it’s not right for kids.”

Other TikTok users were also concerned by the book.

“A lot of toys have this fixation on butts and poo and bodily fluids it’s gross and unnecessary, not educational or useful,” one said.

Another added: “Good to bring to our attention! That book company knows what they are doing.”
