An artist’s first Grammys are thrilling no matter the outcome, but Icelandic singer Laufey had an especially action-packed day. The 24-year-old, who took home her first Grammy for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album for Bewitched, also performed cello alongside Billy Joel. The singer got some sage advice from a pro ahead of the ceremony. “The musical director for the performance, he took me aside and he said, ‘just take in every moment—it will go by so fast, so just enjoy it,’” she says.
To mark the momentous occasion, Laufey wore a pink polka-dot Chanel set—a boatneck tie-back top with a low-waisted A-line skirt—which she accessorized with a smattering of jewelry, including a waist chain and little star earrings, which reminded the singer of her Grammy-winning album. “I just thought it was so youthful and fun, and it felt like something that really embodied my personality,” she says of choosing her outfit, look 62 from the brand’s spring 2024 pre-collection.
In addition to her musical prowess, Laufey is a blooming fashion plate, regularly wearing ultra-feminine pieces. “I think a lot about timeless and classic things, things that I would have worn as a kid, and things that I’ll wear when I’m many, many, many years older,” she says of her approach to style. Her Grammys look more than checked the boxes.
